Oh yes and exciting news, tomorrow I will officially be on the waiting list for the nursing school! Now I can breathe a little easier.
:)

searching

Searching for a puppy isn't easy. Anthony and I started the search yesterday. I want to get the perfect dog, but I am not quite sure what that is. My parents have given me guidelines since I am still living in their home. It has to be a medium to small dog, can't shed like crazy, and can't drool. That leaves my possible options slim to none. I want the complete opposite. I love big furry dogs, but for now I need to follow their rules. I have been looking at pit bull mixes. They are beautiful dogs. My mom says that they are mean, but actually they are very sweet. They have been used for cage fighting because they are very shot and muscular dogs. I believe a dog acts the way you raise it. Hopefully the right one will pop up soon. I am getting very anxious! I just want my dog to be my dog. I think I will know once I see it.

Coco attacking Anthony.

Coco wanting Kristin to pet her.

She has freckles.

Smelling the wind.

She looked at the camera for me.

Her hound nose.

Isn't she cute.

and the winner is...Kris Allen!

I have been a fan of American Idol since the first season. The finale for season 8 was last night. Even if you aren't an American Idol fan the final is always something to watch. Last night performers Queen, Kiss, Jason Mraz, Lionel Richie, Queen Latifa, Keith Urban, Steve Martin, Santana, Cyndi Lauper and Rod Steward all put on an excellent show. The top 12 Idols also come back and perform. The final two idols were Adam Lambert and Kris Allen. Adam was the rocker and Kris was the acoustic guy. I have been a fan of Kris since they got down to the final 12. He is not flashy, he is a simple 23 year old student from Conway, Arkansas. He was the underdog throughout the whole show. I am very pleased with the out come of this show and can't wait for Kris to create his first record. I highly suggest you check him out. Youtube has a lot of videos but my favor song Kris has song is "Falling Slowly", it is from an independent film called Once. He is truly musically talented.

Coco

Coco. Sweet, loving, crazy, cute, wonderful, bad, good, awesome, and of course adorable. It is funny how people always talk about their dogs as if they were a human being. We all talk to our dogs, even though sometimes we don't admit it. I remember when my dad got our family Coco. It was my 7th grade summer. We were all at the Lake of the Ozarks for the weekend, well everyone besides my dad. I came home with my cousin Kelly, I don't remember why. We got home before my sister and my mom, so I had to go around back and open the door because my dad wasn't home either. I remember looking inside and seeing this little beagle puppy. I called my mom freaking out because we had been asking for a dog forever. My mom had no idea what was going on. My dad did this all behind our backs, which is a HUGE thing. My dad is not the surprise kind of guy. Once I got inside I found out that my dad and blocked off a part of the kitchen and had a laundry basket in the marked off place. I guess he thought she would stay in the basket, but she didn't. When I went to go pick her up she was shaking, she was so small. She probably thought I was a monster! From this point out Coco has made my family's life INTERESTING. She is a hound so she uses her smelling to the best of her ability. Food is her all time favorite thing. When eating dinner she will often be at your side "sitting pretty" staring at you begging for food. There have been so many stories about Coco. She has jumped up on counters and ate food, she has jumped up on dinning room tables to eat our Christmas Eve dinner, she has opened ovens (God knows how, we are still trying to figure that out), she has had to go to the doctors numerous times for getting into things she shouldn't have, like bologna and a roast covered in bacon held on by tooth picks (which she ate the whole thing, tooth picks and all), but she has also been a warm and loving dog. If we ever have a visitor she is the first to great them by licking every part of their face. She cries until you pet her, which could be cute or annoying, depends on the day. She loves walks. We have to call them W's because once you say "walk" she freaks out. Now when she walks, it's not really a walk, but rather a tug. She pulls you all over the place because she wants to smell every inch of the ground. Not once does she lift her head to see where she is going. She does have a calm side too. She will often be found in the pillows on the bed, or on the back of the couch curled up in a ball. At night she sleeps under the covers in between your legs. She has to be right by you. Even though she is a crazy dog I still love her. She can always put a smile on my face.

Driving

I officially hate driving, well driving with my mom and sister. Today my sister and mom came down to Columbia to move me out of my dorm. Everything went smoothly, even the weather, they said it was going to rain all day but it didn't. We packed all up and then I headed to class to my last final/assignment. While I was taking my test my mom and sister walked around town and I met up with them at the famous Shakespeare's pizza. We then headed off to the Lake of the Ozarks to drop off my car and unpack some things before we all got into one car and headed to Springfield, MO for my cousin Kelly's graduation. She graduated from Missouri State University with a degree in General Business. We got lost on the way there and well some how it ended up being my fault because I was driving, but yet my mom was the one telling me where to go. It was frustrating. After that we headed over to my friend Sarka's to see her new house her and her boyfriend, Cole, are living in this summer. We got lost going there to. I am really good with directions, but when you have 2 other people yelling at you, you tend to freak out a little. All I wanted to do was head back home and lay down. We then headed back to the lake. We made a wrong turn on the highway. Of course it was my fault again, but all in all we got where we needed to go, it just took a little longer. We got about half way back to the lake and it started pouring. We were going 35 miles per an hour on a highway and couldn't see anything. My mom had her chin to the steering wheel. We then all headed out to eat at Pickled Pete's to grab a late dinner. They were blaring music and I had a head ache so that didn't work out so well and the server also messed up my order. I was just so frustrated with the whole day that I had tears in my eyes. I just kept thinking "you will see Anthony in 2 days..." I have now decided I will never be driving, I mean traveling, with my sister and mother again. It just doesn't work out. I am to hard headed.

Happy Anniversary

Today is my parents 31st anniversary. My parent's relationship is like no other relationship I know. To me they still act like children. They know the perfect balance to joking around and being serious. I would say they have had a very successful life so far. They have raised my sister and I very well. I will be very thankful if I have at least half the success that they have had. Mom and Dad thank you for being a great inspiration and being wonderful role models.

Storms

As of right now it is crazy outside. Every two seconds the sky is light up with lightening. It is so weird to see everything go from pitch black to bright. It messes with your eyes. It was pouring raining about 15 minutes ago. I am on the phone with Anthony trying to take a video of it but no such luck. I love storms. Even though they are scary, they are quite soothing. They are so interesting. I think it is crazy that thunder and lightening are natural. The earth can create such astonishing things. Nature in general is interesting, especially in St. Louis. Like everyone says, if you don't like the weather today wait until tomorrow.

Happy Birthday Anthony Joesph :)

This is my second time celebrating Anthony's birthday. The funny thing is both times I didn't even get to spend time with him. Last year we both had school all day and then he had hockey practice of course! This year we are 9 hours away from each other. If only I could have a private jet or magical powers. Anthony has grown so much since I have met him, making me fall even harder for him. I can't wait to see what comes next in the future for us! Who knows I could be spending 70 more birthdays with him :) Happy Birthday sweetie! Hope you have a wonderful day. Can't wait to see you.

Singing.

If you know me, than you know I love to sing. I sing to anything and everything: commercials, the radio, sounds outside, other people singing. My friends, mostly Eleni and my sister, use to tell me to stop singing all the time when we were young. They was just jealous! Ha. I remember my cousins making fun of me because they said I sounded like I was singing in a gospel choir, but none of that ever stopped me. I started to sing in some school plays we did, but I would never sing alone. Once I got in high school I joined my church's teen choir. The girls were all so talented and seemed so much older than me so I would hold back afraid that I wasn't good enough. As I got older I became one of the "big kids" so I started singing louder and my choir teacher started to notice that my voice had grown and developed. They would always try to get me to sing solos, but I never did because I was to nervous. I don't know what it is. I can sing in the car with all my friends, or sit at a restaurant and sing but once I get in front of people on a stage or pointed out I freak! Well for some reason this weekend I sang in front of people. Actually I sang at a bar in front of a lot of people. I went to the lake with Jami to see her parents. We went to Shorty Pants. There were 2 guys singing and playing guitar for people. Jami's mom had a few drinks and started messing with the 2 guys. They called her "mom". Well I guess he wanted "mom" to come sing and she didn't want to so I told her I would go sing with her, but it some how turned into just me going up there. Let me tell you she and the rest of the people we were with had never heard me sing before so it made me even more nervous because I could be really bad. Well I got up there and sang What I got, by Sublime. I didn't know all the words, but I new enough to have people hear me! I guess I was good because some lady came up and gave me a high five a few times, and Jami's mom was going crazy, but who knows they all had more than a couple drinks in them. I honestly can not believe I did that. I would have to say I am very proud of myself, and apparently in 2 weeks we are going back so I can sing again....oh great.

May

Oh and it's May!!!!!!
Summer time.

Friends

I realized why I come home every weekend. The people I care about and the people that care about me are at home. My "friends" down here at Mizzou never call me to hang out, it is always me having to ask what they are doing. It just goes to show you who cares. I am just happy this is my last weekend here. I am so ready to be home with the people who I want to see and who I enjoy hanging out with. Just 11 more days at Mizzou...
