Stl Weather
After a long week of heat, Stl is having some beautiful weather. Today Zara and I enjoyed reading a book under a tree in my back yard, well Zara enjoyed a nice bone. There was a nice breeze and not a cloud in the sky. It was very relaxing after a long weekend of work. I have a soccer game tonight and can't wait because this weather is so perfect! Everyone in Stl enjoy this wonderful weather and try to spend some time outside with your wonderful pets :)
Dirty Players
There is nothing that I hate more than dirty athletes. When I mean dirty I mean players that play cheap and do things that aren't necessary. Last night I had an outdoor game at Soccer Park. This league is just to keep college kids playing during off season and is meant to be fun. We played a team last night (UMSL) and well they had some mean people on their team. Everything was either pushing or pulling. I was playing center back and some girl on the other team made a diagonal pass over me to another girl. The girl and I both and to race to the ball and well I guess I was a little faster than her and I got to it first the next thing I know I get blindsided by the bitch, pardon my language, and am on the ground. I fell on my neck and head and let me tell you it kind of hurt. I was in a little pain got up said my few words and went on playing. I am just ranting now because I HATE people that can't play a fair and fun game. You aren't proving anything by taking someone out the hardest. It is just showing that you don't have any talent so you take them out because you know you are going to get beat. There is a difference between playing hard and playing dirty too. I have gotten a few to many fowls, but that is because I play hard not because I am out to hurt someone. Just a few words of wisdom to everyone. That is all.

Netflix
I watch a lot of movies. I enjoy sitting back and watching something other than boring basic television. So I have been spending a lot of money at blockbuster because we do not have cable to watch movies on. I suggested Netflix to my mom just to see if she would be interested. There are different packages that you can get and it is really cheap. So as of Monday I have Netflix. I didn't even realize how awesome it is. You get a free two week trial when you sign up. I got a package for 13.99 a month. You get 2 movies out at a time and can get as many as you possibly can. It takes one business day to get the movies. You make a list online and they send you the movies in the order that your list is in. Not only can you order movies you can instantly watch certain movies and television shows online. It is so nice because you don't have to wait for them in the mail. As of right now I am very satisfied and just got something in the mail today :)

Happy Father's Day
Happy Father's Day to all those wonderful fathers, or soon to be fathers!
My dad is truely one of a kind. I have always been daddy's little girl, or little tom boy. He has always been there for me and does so much to help me out. I am so greatful for everything he has done for me and I know I wouldn't be where I am in the world if he wasn't in my life. I believe he has made me a well balenced child, even though he had some funny techniques on rasing me, they still worked. He is a wonderful father. He has been to probably every soccer game in my life, which is a TON. He has been my coach and mentor. I have learned so much about life from him, like work had for what you want and always keep your goals in mind. Dad I love you and thank you so much for being an amazing father :)

My little girl
It will be 2 weeks tomorrow since the day I got Zara. So far she has been amazing. She can sit and lay down. She is for the most potty trained. She likes to sleep a lot and play with my other dog Coco. She inhales her food and then gets the hiccups. She loves to give kisses but you have to be careful she likes to nibble on your ears and nose. She is funny though. She likes to do things like Coco. I think Zara looks up to her. She has grown to love everyone in the family. She likes to sleep with my dad. She likes to follow my mom and I. She likes to play with my sister. I am so thankful for being able to have Zara. She has been nothing but perfect.
Yes this is how she sleeps.
She still is a dog...she loves food.

Sunburn
It is now officially summer. Yesterday I went to my friend Alyson's to swim and lay out. I put on SPF 15, but my guess is it came off in the water and I didn't reapply. As of right now my chest looks like a lobster! It also hurts very bad. Any time I walk outside I feel like needles are poking at my chest. Next time I go swimming I will make sure to apply my sunscreen every 30 minutes! All I can do now is apply lotion and aloe :)

You are always a kid at heart

The one thing I have learned is that we are all kids at heart. It makes life exciting and care free. There are always those people that bring it out in you though, whether it be your family or good friends. Last night I had a girls night with my good friends Gina and Amanda. We played Mall Madness and gave ourselves fake Chinese tattoos. I know we are strange but hey at least I enjoy my life and laugh. I don't think I will ever grow up. I want to be able to teach my kids that life is not all serious. It can be the way you want it to be you just have to let go and not be afraid to take chances. If you want to be a firefighter, than be a firefighter. If the next week you decide you want to fly to the moon, fly to the moon. Life only last so long.

I love you girls :)

Zumba for the Cure
Friday was finally the night for zumba for the cure. The event was at Webster College. It lasted for 2 hours! For anyone out there that doesn't know what Zumba is it is a fitness class( zumba.com). It is a mix between salsa, hip hop, and other South American dances. It is a lot of thrusting, shimmying and moving of the hips. The class has people of all ages. I take it at my gym, St. Louis Workout, with my friend Gina, her mom and my mom 3 days a week. Anyways we all went to the even plus my friends Cassey and Sarah. Our instructor got the event together. There were about 350 people there. It is always so moving to see people get together and fight for something. Even if it was 350 people, we still raised over 10,000 dollars to find a cure for breast cancer! It was a lot of fun. I wish I would have brought my camera, but I forgot. Gina, Sarah and I got up on stage and danced. We went up with the little kids, well because apparently we are still children :) The next morning when I got up I wasn't that sore, but I had my actual zumba class at 10 and once I started dancing again it was rough. My legs were exhausted. I do have to say it was a great event and it was a great time.

Happy 17th Birthday Kristin
Today is my sisters 17th birthday. I can't believe she is 17. I swear I was just teaching her how to drive. Usually we are all down at the Lake of the Ozarks for her birthday but this year she has to take the ACT so we can't. Anthony and I took her out to lunch today at Fridays and how my Mom is making us dinner. It will be nice to eat as a family. We have all been so busy and haven't all sat down together in some time. Happy birthday Kristin! I hope all of your wishes come true.
Here are some pictures of the brat opening presents...
Soccer
Yesterday I played my first outdoor game since a year and a half ago. It is not as easy as I thought it was going to be. I embarrassed myself, but still had fun. It showed me how out of shape I am. A 35 minute half felt like an eternity! I have soccer on Monday (indoor) and Tuesday (outdoor) until the season starts up so hopefully that will help a little. I have been working out at least 4 days a week, but I need to do more cardio so I don't have a heart attack the next time I play. I had a really good time though. It was great to get back out there. Hopefully I play better next time! Oh and we lost 2-0, but our team is just a throw together team, no one really knows anyone on the team and the team we played against is a select team and has been playing together for awhile plus they practice regularly. I will tell you how next week goes.

Zara
Everyone this is Zara.
I got my puppy!!!! I got a phone call around 3. The lady was like I am glad to tell you that we would like you to have "Ava". Once I heard this I started balling. Yes I know I am a baby, but I have been wanting a puppy for so long. I went up to Petsmart and got her and did all the paper work. We got her a collar, some food, and of course her name tag. I changed her name to Zara. I wanted to give her a name because that way she was all mine. My cousins had their graduation party today so I took her over there to visit with everyone. She was so cute and very well behaved. All the little kids were chasing her. She is quick but can't stop. She just falls over and gets back up and runs the other way. She also likes to throw her bone and run around it. She is silly, but all puppies are. When we got home, Anthony and I put together a crate for her and now she is passed out. It was a long day for her and she deserves her nice long night of sleep.

Ava
I found my perfect dog. Today my sister went up to Petsmart to look at the dogs/puppies for adoption because I had to work. So she went up there to look for me. I called her about an hour into work to see if she saw any puppies that I would want and well there was a 3 month old yellow lab mix. I asked my manager if I could take a break so I could go "fight for my puppy". Thank god I have the best managers ever, they let me take a 2 hour break so I got to go see her and talk to the lady in charge. The puppies name is Ava and she is beautiful. We had to put in an application in order to get her. I think there is 5 families fighting for her, but we will find out tomorrow if we get her or not. The process is complicated. They had to interview both my mom and I. They asked us questions like how will we train her, and other things. I was nervous! I felt like I was on a job interview. I am hoping they understand how much love I have to give this little puppy and how badly I want her! Now all I have to do is wait until tomorrow and we will see. Wish me luck :)
CHI Silk Infusion

This is a hair product I live by. Every time I take a shower I put this product in my hair once I get out. It is an oil that helps protect your hair from heat. I use the product to help keep my hair shinny and smooth, as well as keep my hair from frizzing. This product comes in handy when you blow dry, straighten, or curl your hair. The oil is locked into your hair by the heat which causes your blow dryer, straightener, or curling iron to burn the oil and not your hair. I would highly recommend this product to anyone!
100
This is for Anthony. He wanted me to just post 100 on my 100th post so...
100!!!
Many more post to come :)

Beautiful Spring Day
Today felt like spring. I was upset a first because I wanted to lay out and get a tan, but I decided to go play some tennis with Anthony which made the day a lot better. It was about 65 with a slight breeze when we played. You couldn't have asked for better weather. Now about tennis. I have never really played before and well I would have to say I am not horrible. I was expecting to be a lot worse considering I can not hit a ball for the life of me...baseball and softball are not my thing...but every time I missed I just laughed at myself and kept trying harder. I kept trying to work on my back swing because that was not a pretty thing. Anthony isn't to bad himself, but I would hope so because he has been a baseball guy for a long time. I did catch him laughing at me everyone and awhile. I did the whole swing as hard as you can and completely miss the ball thing a couple of times :) Hopefully we can play some more, tennis is a good workout. There is a lot of sprinting so you have to be quick. I really enjoyed the weather today so hopefully we will get some more spring days in summer.

Drunk Driving.
There is just one thing I cannot understand...drunk driving. You hear stories everyday about people dying, or killing others by driving drunk, but yet people still do it. You would think if you are responsible enough to drink you would be responsible enough to not get in a car and drink under the influence. My dad owns an auto body shop and a tow truck came to pick up a totaled car. On the tow truck was this...

This is because some teenage kid decided to drive while he was intoxicated. He obviously did not survive. So next time you see someone who has had to much to drink, do them and others a favor and tell them not to drive. Arrive alive.
