Zumba for the Cure

Friday was finally the night for zumba for the cure. The event was at Webster College. It lasted for 2 hours! For anyone out there that doesn't know what Zumba is it is a fitness class( zumba.com). It is a mix between salsa, hip hop, and other South American dances. It is a lot of thrusting, shimmying and moving of the hips. The class has people of all ages. I take it at my gym, St. Louis Workout, with my friend Gina, her mom and my mom 3 days a week. Anyways we all went to the even plus my friends Cassey and Sarah. Our instructor got the event together. There were about 350 people there. It is always so moving to see people get together and fight for something. Even if it was 350 people, we still raised over 10,000 dollars to find a cure for breast cancer! It was a lot of fun. I wish I would have brought my camera, but I forgot. Gina, Sarah and I got up on stage and danced. We went up with the little kids, well because apparently we are still children :) The next morning when I got up I wasn't that sore, but I had my actual zumba class at 10 and once I started dancing again it was rough. My legs were exhausted. I do have to say it was a great event and it was a great time.
